The Speech Language program at Johnson provides personalized speech and language services to our students with speech and language disorders. These services are specifically customized for each student and are based on their unique needs. Therapy activities are designed to focus on the whole child, incorporating their personal interests and the school curriculum into the therapy. I use a multi-sensory approach when working with children including visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic techniques. Parents, families, caregivers and teachers are an essential part of a child's overall success in therapy. I am always available by appointment for consultation to answer questions, provide feedback about progress or to demonstrate useful techniques or activities that may have been given as homework.
Speech Language services may be provided individually or in groups, in the classroom, or in the speech therapy room, room 20.The method, frequency and duration of therapy will be determined by a student's needs.
